Roulette

The wheel spins one direction while the little ball races in the other; only Lady Luck and physics decide where the ball will finally land, and whether you come out of the casino triumphant, or with sadly lighter pockets. Roulette exists for the thrill seeking players, as indeed the animated nature of the game does inspire much more excitement than the slow and severe tension of the typical poker game.

The game of roulette has had a great following since 1796 (its first manifestation was actually Blaise Pascal's attempt a perpetual motion machine) because of the seemingly better odds of winning. More than that, unlike most other games (perhaps with the exception of the slot machines) roulette needs very little instruction to play—anyone of legal age can place a bet.

Roulette in Toronto is obviously not as apparent as it is in Las Vegas, although that devilishly tempting wheel is by no means difficult to find; most legal gambling houses offer roulette tables (it is actually one of the staple games of gambling).

So go ahead, lay your bet on the table. You might just walk out of the casino a few a thousand Canadian Dollars richer. Either that or you're walking home tonight, buddy.

Just try not to lose that much.
